38 S&W Top Break Identification

Hello,
A friend of mine was looking for information regarding a top break 38 S&W a family member found. I will include a photo but outside of that I have no further info.

Well, we can tell you that it's not a Smith & Wesson but a copy. What does it say along the top of the barrel?

I don't see the exact type in Zhuk or ALFA but I think it is Spanish. Can anybody decode the grip monogram?

"??? 38 SMITH & WESSON CARTRIDGE" on the barrel. The monogram on the stocks indicate American Arms Company, Boston MA
