38 special shoots left.....

The short answer is small changes can move the impact. I did not see stated how far the movement was but here is a real example. The two targets below were shot with the same pistol at 25 yards. The only change is 0.035" in seating depth. The group tightened up in the second target but it also moved right. Changing bullets, pressure, etc will almost always cause an impact point change.

All of my 38s are 2nd amendment supporters.
They have to shoot to the RIGHT.

Rim shot.
I'm here all week. Be sure to tip your waitresses.

In shooting semi-autos, I've always pressed my support hand (left) thumb on the frame to keep the gun from rotating left. Then, shooting DA revolvers rapidly in IDPA I found doing the same (keep thumb away from the BC gap in live fire as I quickly learned).
To eliminate user error, try dry firing that way in DA, watch the front sight, with a coin like a quarter sitting on top if the frame.
Ideally the coin should not wobble, fall off, or the front sight move.
My 856 shoots accurately.
Just my $.02 but it worked for me.

I had 2 other people shoot this gun the other day and it did the
same thing for them. 4 to 5" left. So the gun is going bye bye
and hello Charter Arms. At least they have good customer
service.

Well, I didn't buy the Charter Arms like I'd planed. Just couldn't
decide on which one I wanted. So I bought another Taurus 856.
Took it to my buddy's range and shot 50 rounds thru it and I put
95% of my shots center on the target.
So, I guess I was right about the other one shooting left huh?

If this is the only gun you have doing this then it could quite possibly be the gun. Try to have a friend who knows how to shoot use it and see what the results are. Shooting should be done from a rest.
