Any problems with Aquila and Perfecta ammo in 380? I'm shooting a BG and have read some post that they will eat anything and others that say they are very picky.

I've shot the Perfecta ammo in my Bodyguard .380. No problem what so ever. Haven't tried the other.

I have shot the Aquila .380 Hollow Points with out any trouble in my 380 BG. But I don't really like to shoot them because they don't fire clean at all. If I can get any other kind, I won't buy the Aguila for any of my guns. And not because it is Mexican, but because it just don't fire clean at all n any calibar. Don't know if it is cheap lead or dirty powder.

The Perfecta shot fine(100 rds) but the Aquila(100 rds) had 9 FTFire on first strike. Both seem to be a bit on the dirty side but that's why I clean my guns after each range trip.

aquila ammo

I found that this ammo has a lot of miss fires due to hard primers and it very dirty ammo. It is the only ammo i have had problems with - not true, Remington has not been too good to me either

I've had no problems using Monarch (brass case only) or American Eagle (Federal) in my BG380. The pistol likes to stay clean so after about 100 rounds, its time to take a bath..
