Found a 39 no dash, alloy frame with wood grips and one metal heeled mag, no box. Definitely shooter grade I can get it for $300. What say you deal or no deal? It's going to the local gun show tomorrow if I pass.

I don't even need it, but at that price I would buy it! terry of course depends what your definition of shooter grade is.

If at all decent, I'd be all over it at that price. No tax? No transfer fees? A bargain.

I also think it depends on condition. I have one that is probably worth over $1K and a shooter grade that might bring $250-$300 on a good day...so it depends. If it a no dash Steel frame it worth over $2K..
I suppose at $300 OTD you could get your money out of it just by parting it out. So unless there are serious mechanical issues I think it's a buy if you need it. If by shooter grade there is a little bluing loss then its a very strong buy.
Like I said it depends...

No tax or transfer fee. No rust on the slide, some wear marks. Finish on the frame still in good shape. Medallions are still on both grips. Wood looks a little dull, but intact. Action feels smooth.
Sometimes good deals pop up when funds are tight.

Sounds like a deal to me.

Unless it has a mechanical issue, a crack in the receiver, or the finish is shot, it is well worth $300.

Here it is. Didn't grab it. Maybe I'll get lucky and it doesn't sell at the show.

The picture looks better than your description. I would buy it at $300 to go with my 639.

Yes, it sold at the show. $300 was the "buddy" price, it sold for $450.
