3913/908/TSW Pre-rail owners?

Hello,
I have a thread similar to this but this time I have just one question.
Does your pinky fit on the frame?
Do you need the base pad, and if so which one?
I'm about to buy a TSW pre-rail although some say it might be too small to get a good grip. I've called about 20 gun/pawn shops within a 50 mile radius of me so I could find out for myself and NONE of them have a 3913 or a 908.
Please help me!

I took these a while ago to show another member. I have average size hands. with the pre-rail I prefer the pinky extension, but can still shoot it with the flat plate. I open carry most of the time anyway, so I am not worried about trying to conceal every last inch.

I've even been looking at those lately. It seems that with the flush pad your pinky would have off just a bit, does that sound right?
Are the CS9 mags the same as the pre-rail finger extension ones?

I use the flat base on my 3913. I CCW in my pocket, so i have never tried the curved type. The pinky finger is not on the grip as much as i would like, but it is no big deal.

On the other hand, I use the new 220 compact pads on my 245, and there is a BIG difference.

I read through your older base pad thread and I can't recall, are the 3913TSW curved finger rests the same as the 3913 and CS9 finger rest?

pre-rail 3913 & CS9 mags are the same 7 rnd mags. The flat and curved bases for both those and the newer 3913 are all interchangeable, however the flat one that came with my pre-rail is as wide as the grip insted of the width of the mag. It would still work on an 8 rnd mag though.

I say, just buy it, you'll love it. If it does not fit like you like, trade it for the 8 rnd version. I usually see the 7 rnd for more $ that the 8 rnd.

guys i have leads on a pre rail and a railed TSW. Magazines aside, is the pre rail grip frame actually shorter than the railed version?

The overall grip is the same length, but it is notched to allow the magazine to fit flush with the grip. See the pictures above.
