I’m trading into a nice 3913 tomorrow, after looking for one for a while now.
I plan to carry this, and need some IWB and OWB holster suggestions.
Back when I carried a 6906 on-duty in plain clothes, it was leather only- ‘kydex’ wasn’t around yet…

I’m not a ‘spendy, custom maker’ holster kind of guy, G-Code and T-Rex Arms are top budget for me…
Suggestions appreciated.

I EDC carry a 3953 in a IWB Don Hume H715-M WCS holster. I also have the same model holster for my 4053 and Walther PPS.

I've been using those holsters for years. Check out the sale prices for them at Gunner's Alley.

mine rides in a Kramer IWB holster....found in pawn shop for 5.00

Also, many holsters made for a Sig 239 fit perfectly....

It's a lot easier to get a single stack S&W pistol to fit a holster made for a double stack S&W than it is to get a double stack S&W to fit a holster designed for a single stack pistol, so holsters for the x69 and 69xx should work just fine for a 3913.

I used to have one of those. Stupidly traded it away years ago.

Got it! Woot! I am going to try to get to the range tomorrow and shoot it, and start carrying it. I have enough holsters that I'm sure I can find something that'll fit it for now.

Are there any of the curved-back grips for these? I don't think I've ever paid attention before, and are any of the aftermarket magazines actually usable?

.

I'll agree on the Don Hume H715-M WCS IWB holster with one caveat.

I originally bought one for my CS9, 3" bbl, which they showed it fit.

Well it does fit but with the CS9 inserted in the holster it looks like you could easily get a 4" bbl pistol in the holster.

I don't want my IWB holster any longer than it has to be, for comfort when bending over, etc, so I set it aside. (Plus the CS9 is wider/blockier than a 3913 & it doesn't insert as far)

Just recently I noticed that my 3-1/2" 39xxs were a better fit for it.

However the best fit comes from the ones without an ambi-decocker on the right side.

That's my 3914DAO & 4040PD.

My 3914 & 3913TSW have the decocker on that side & I notice they don't fully insert into the holster because that right side lever hits the edge of the holster & stop further insertion by a little bit.

It's still reasonably well inserted, & will work if needed, but I say ones without the lever are the best choice for this holster. :)

Hogues will get you close. I put them on mine and found it was big improvement. And I normally am not a Hogue fan.

I carry my CS40 in the same holster as my 3953. I'm okay with the half-inch extra leather protection for the barrel, and I'm use to that holster length. The trigger guard slips right into place too. Great holster!

Gunner's Alley has the Don Hume holsters on sale now. They also have the MTR Custom Leather Avenger holster too.

Has anyone used the wood grips I’m seeing on eBay? They have a slight curve on the back.
I just don’t like the ‘sticky-mess’ of the Hogues.
