I'm picking up a 3913 today and have a question about the sights. If I understand correctly, they're Novak cut. Does this mean any Novak cut sights will fit in the dovetails or do I need 3913 specific sights?

No, it does not mean that. Trijicom has sights for your 3913, and I'm using XS BigDot sights on my 3913 and 4513TSW . There may be others. If a sight fits the 5906, it'll fit the 3913 . Check out the XS Standard Dot sights ( http://www.xssights.com/Products.aspx?CAT=8800 ) and you'll find what pistols have the same compatibility. :)
Congrats on a fine pistol.

Thanks Brent. I'll probably pick up some XS. Had them on a 1911 once and really liked them.

The cheapest place I've found to buy them is at adorama.com . Currently , though, they're not in stock ( I have a set on backorder for my 3953TSW) .:)

Hey Brent, do you happen to know if Adorama sells current production sights, or are they discounted New Old Stock?

I notice that on both sets of my XS sights, that there is a "14" on both the rear and front sight. This could be the year of mfg of the sight. One set I bought from Adorama, one set I bought direct from XS Systems. The sights were different part numbers , BUT all the numbering on the sights themselves is identical. Can anyone with some older XS sights look at their sights, and see whether the number seems to correspond with the mfg date ?

The two digits on the front sight are the year of production, so yours were made sometime in 2014 and are good for about 12 years. And that should mean that Adorama is selling current production XS sights, which is really cool since that's been my only concern with them.

Thanks Brent, now I know where I'll be getting my next set of XS sights! :)

Goodness knows who "Adorama" is, but I just ordered a set of Big Dots for a 3913 from them. $108 with free shipping vs. $120 and shipping from Big Dot itself. Once I heard from the post above Adorama's sights had fresh "born on" dates, I was sold.

...or at least I placed an order. Anybody else beside me not exactly delighted with giving something called "Adorama" you credit card number?

Actually Adorama is a big outfit !! :) At least they sell a lot of things at decent prices. I've purchases electronics and a camera there, in the past and was amazed when they showed up having gunsights ! The name "Adorama" doesn't exactly sound "gun-totin'" but they have a loyal customer in me.. :)
