We had a great day at the range. For a little history, the last time my wife shot a handgun, I had purchased her a Jennings in .380, about 19 years ago. What a piece of junk, and it hurt her so much to shoot it, she has not shot since then. She fell in love with the 3913. We shot at 7 yards and by the end of the shooting session her groups were about the size of a silver dollar. She had quite a bit of fun, and now wants to take some handgun classes, which is quite a boon for me!
As for the pistol, I am quite impressed. No malfunctions, it ejects quite consistently to the same spot, and the recoil is less than I anticipated for a gun this light and small. If I have any complaints, it is the double-action first shot. My 1911, and even my Glock, have spoiled me. However, I only paid $379 for it, and it
does feel better in the hand than the plastic brick...

The discoloration at the muzzle is gunpowder:
