I'll be picking up a 3913 today with 2 mags and the blue S+W box. Going to be my daily CCW weapon. I plan on shooting today also. Let you know how it shoots.

It should be great and a lot of fun. Mine shoots to point of aim. Myself, not so much, but the 3913 does it's best to help me out. It's just a great carry gun. I keep mine in a Crossbreed Supertuck holster. I don't even know I have it on. Enjoy!

While I am a Glock guy, the 3913 is one of my older guns that I have hung onto. The single stack magazine makes for a nice comfy grip.

Congrats! Finest single stack 9mm carry piece ever made, by anyone, IMO of course.

I used mine as an off duty/court pistol for nine years. Finest semi auto made by S&W. Enjoy yours! Regards 18DAI.

The natural place for the 9mm in the scheme of things, is in a nice slim compact single stack auto. Sure, there are many smaller 9's these days, but the 3913 is still a good choice.

I liked mine so much I bought a 2nd one. Just in case I get foolish and trade one of them which I usually do. I just don't want to be without one.

Looking forward to your shooting impressions and PHOTOS, PLEASE. You would be hard pressed to find a better carry piece in a semi-auto.

Enjoy that 3913,

Jerry

39**'s are apparently in season! Several threads (including one from me) about purchases of them. Took my new-o-me 3954 to the range last night and put 100 rounds through it. Steady as she goes and a pure joy.

Yes. Pictures please!

3913 update

Well I took it the range and it shoots fine. A little left and low but it can be me (glasses). One question: They came from the factory with a magazine disconnect safety??? Mag out can't fire, dead trigger correct? This one must have had it removed because it will fire. I prefer to have it original, easy fix? Or send it to S+W???

You would have to locate the plunger and spring for the magazine saftey. It is installed below the rear sight.A local gun smith should be able to help you.

Two things I disliked about my 3913 were the Magazine disconnect and the ambi safety. I have now "corrected" both issues.

To remove the Mag disconnect:

Drift the rear sight to the right and you will see a white plunger and spring in the slide. They will fall out in your hand if you flip it over and tap. Remove both of those and drift the sight back center. (mark your sight before you drift it so you can put it back). No more Mag Dosconnect.

Ambi Safety Removal
The Safety was a little more labor intensive. I removed the right lever then removed the safety body. The lever is removed by pushing on the small plunger located in the center of the lever. Then slide the lever out. The plunger and spring are in the small center hole of the safety body so make sure to cover it with your hand to keep from losing it. After I got the lever off I pushed in the firing pin block and pushed the pin forward. Then the safety slid out the left side. I ground down the safety body until it would sit flush with the right side. Then I polished the end. Aside from the tiny hole in the center it looks just like the left-side safety only models. That hole doesn't bother me enough to spend $60 on a new one.

Congrats on purchasing a fine CC pistol. Here are 2 of mine that I shoot and carry regularly. The LS is presently dismantled for a slide polishing & sight replacement.

Funny coincidence here as I decided today that I will carry my S&W 3913 instead of my Sig P239. I have a Bianchi Model 6 IWB suede leather holster and the gun carries very easily. I keep one in the chamber and the safety off, the holster cover the trigger, so I'm ready. I'm very glad that my father gave me this pistol!
