Thnking of buying one that is available to me.

Any issues to be aware of?

Thanks.

Wife says: "Rogo, you buy one more gun, and I will shoot you with one of those **** guns. You guess which day, and which gun."

I can't help you, but I just had my wife hold a 642 at the LGS yesterday and her eyes were rolling. I told her this one will be hers! SHe said she doesn't need a gun and won't carry one. Then she said she wishes I'd put some of mine away instead of leaving them out all over. Most are in the safe, but I have a 9c at my desk, a .22 on the kitchen buffet, a .380 in my truck cubby, a .40 in the nightstand. I think that's pretty rational.

Then I let it slip that I have a 3913 in the mail.... :D

3914 issues? Well.....as long as you are OK with uber reliable, accurate, easily concealed, well made pistols that look good doing all that - you won't have any issues.

As far as your wife shooting you, just hope that she uses a 9mm - I read on the internet that 9mm can't hurt you. ;) :)

Enjoy that 3914. Finest single stack 9mm carry gun made, by anyone. Regards 18DAI

What 18DAI said...
And they're not all that easy to find. If the price is fair, I'd get it.
You're on your own with the wife.
Good luck!

By telling the wife the gun is hers, makes the deal OK.

If you decide not to get it, let me know where it is. Thanks

Sometimes that works like a charm, did that with a 3913 Lady Smith, she claims it now but still will not give up the PPK/S she carries daily. She lays claim to a Browning BDA, the PPK/S, the 3913, and a Model 36 snub. She shoots the 36 best of all.

I bought it. It is new in the original box, unfired, with the parchment paper. The spare magazine has never been unwrapped. $450 out the door.
This was money I had put aside for a shield, but this happened first.
I'm afraid to shoot it. (But I know I will.)

If you have a 3913/4 there is simply no need for a Shield....you already have the finest CC handgun made by any manufacturer!!

Randy

Rogo, I'd say you stole that gun! That was a no brainer!
You can get a shield anytime.

$450 for NIB!! WOW!! I've seen rusted, import stamped, beat up 3914's going for just a little less than that!!

You did VERY well. Congrats! :) Regards 18DAI

Good deal.... you will love the 3914... i paid $385 for a used one.. no box, no extra mag.. i did replace the recoil spring to be on the safe side... but sounds like your good to go..:)

I think you should just ship that to me, heck, I'll make it good and I'll even pay for the shipping.

Could not agree more with the posters. I have the3913 & 3914, plus the 3953. Only problem is which to take out? Dave_n

Agree 100% with the room - forget the Shield - you just bought a better gun that will last 100 yrs. I have two first cousins in 908 and 6906. 908 is EDC - same size as 3913/4. LOVE it

i recently picked up a 3914 in a pawn shop for 200.00. i really like the way it shoots and its alot easier to carry than my p 95 ruger

$200!?!?

Why don't I ever find deals like that? Well, I don't go to Pawn shops, but when I have been in one or two every gun they had was priced like it was made of solid gold.

Great find! I hope you enjoy it and if you don't and want to sell it for $225 let me know first!! :D

Wife says don't shoot it. Just put it away and after I'm dead she will sell it and give the money to her new boyfriend to put toward a Harley Davidson.

I saw one for sale like it for $700. So maybe I should just leave it NIB and put my 6906 under my pillow. I really like to shoot the guns I own.

3914, probably the one gun ,carried most on/off for over 20 years. Paid like 220 back in 89-90. In days past carried a 6" revolver, with the 3914 in support side front pocket. Had a pocket holster made with a forward opening clip on the outside of the holster, holster would slide into my pocket, and clip around the front of the pocket, the gun couldnt drop forward in my pocket or slide down. My radio covered the clip and the gun, with only about an inch of the black grip/magpad protruding. Used to stand with thumb hooked into pocket, basically on the grip and no one was the wiser. When saps were prohibited,I had my sap pocket shortened and carried an extra mag there.
Always felt like I had the best of both worlds , accuracy with the 6" and fire power with the 3914. Oh well, the good ol days, no I dont want to go back !
Still have that lil gun, but been carrying a PC 6906 for the last couple years.Wish the PC had made a single stack , would have jumped on that . Bob

I carried a 3914 during the time my agency would not allow my BHP. It was absolutely the best 9mm for the weight I have ever had. I found that one could modify the mags by shortening the followers on the bottom end and the gun would hold 9 in the mag. No problems either. Still got it, when I want a light carry semi auto, it gets the job, backed up by my 940.
