I found a reference to these models on a parts list at the S&W site. Following the the 3rd generation numbering pattern, my guess is that they are double action only versions of the 3904/06.

No reference to this model in the SCSW that I can find.

Since there are parts available for them, they must have been made.

Were these a special order item for some agency or agencies. Or is it a typo on the S&W parts sheet.

That's a good find, I'd like to know myself, midway and gunbroker lists those parts as well.

I'm guessing it's a typo, but if they actually made one I might sell some stuff to buy one. And yes, it would be a full size, single stack DAO.

You may well be right about that. I would think that there would be some mention of the model in the SCSW if it in fact exists.

Of course Midway, Brownells, Numrich, and others draw their model information form S&W.

It's as speculative as this thread. No one seems to know for sure, except that no one has chimed in to say that they have seen one.

Just another S&W mystery, I guess.
