On a newly acquired 3913, the end of the extractor, towards the hammer end of the pistol, sits proud of the slides surface more than my other 3rd gen. pistols. Should this be a concern?
I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet so no info there yet.
Thanks,
Ron

Some photographs would help those here on the forum determine if there is a possible problem, but the extractors in these models are not "drop in" parts. There are gauge checks and potential individual fitting required with each one. Keeping that in mind, the external appearance of the extractors in these models will not always be identical.

I've added photos you can see the (large?)open space at the end of extractor, and it sticks up at at quite an angle my other 3913 is flat and fits into the slot like it was made for it:). The photos are all the subject pistol.
Thanks

If it works don't worry about it. Just be aware that over the life of the 3rd Gen series the extractor was redesigned at least three times that I'm aware of.

Your gun could have shipped with one type and at some point been upgraded, hence the slight mismatch.
