Will a 4506 slide run on a 1086 frame safely and correctly?

Both are no-dash versions.

Sorry that I cannot answer the exact question but if it is any assistance at all, I can tell you that the 4506 and 10xx magazines will not swap between the pistols.

I am interested in hearing more about what it is that you are hoping or thinking of doing? These conversions are always interesting to me.

The 40cal is equivalent to 10mm. 45cal is larger. The slide may run on it but the barrel is not going to feed. Try it, and let us know how it works out. Do a video for the darwin award winner of 2017.
