3rd generation gunsmith

Can anyone suggest a gunsmith that will do machine works on 3rd gens. I have a 1006, and a 4506, that I have had since 91. Bought them when I got back from gulf war, at Jim's gunshop, in Fayetteville NC. I have put literally 1000s of rounds through both, these are old friends, that have seen other come and go sometimes, but have always remained. Thanks , for any help

A lot of folks here on the forum have been after me for years to hang out a shingle, well Sir, I finally gone and done it. Now operating as "BMCM Custom" out of Natchez Mississippi.

So my main focus is on 3rd gen guns... well 2nd gens too suppose.

Not an all inclusive list but here's what I can offer off the top of my head:

Sight Installations.
Sight blades changed on factory adjustable (ie dots, plain, white outline or tritium)
Refinishing/abrasive blasting stainless components.
Grip enhancements ie hand cut checkering and or...

I have to ask, what “machine work” are you seeking?

My adjustable sight 4506-1 was delivered new to my house in 1992 and has shot thousands of rounds. I did improvingly go through it when new but nothing since. Somewhat recently I got an as new Novak sighted complete top end/parts kit but that wasn’t necessary. It is still accurate and boringly reliable.

Just wondering what work is needed on both your 4506 & 1006 ?

4T5 guy, sure, I would like front slide serrations, and thought about having the front strap slide serrations to maybe have serrations across them, to sort of checker it. Try to alleviate the sliding in hand. I have had these 2 , over 30 years, love them . Just some personal touches really

Now I get it. This answer is easy.

Our own guzzitaco here on the Forum is the guy you need/want. He does AMAZING work, an artist actually and is an awesome guy personally.

I’ve attached an image of a 4506 that he posted as an example of his work. (Post hand files but pre hand model. )

For the front strap grip enhancement, My preference is to wipe it then...

That 2040 gun with a few other enhancements and has been my most favored carry piece for many years now.

Thank you, gentleman, for the input, I do like the front strap stippling treatment. I have a nighthawk hi power with the same, never thought it would work, due to the serrations
