3rd gen Guide rod questions
I have are kinda silly sorry.
I have a few 3rd gens and all are Stainless guns{ a few silver alloy and a few all Stanless} and have stainless guides
Just got a alloy 410S and did not like the plastic has like slots in it like a fluted barrel would look.
So metal Guide Rod was located. But it was blued so did not matter as the plastic one I was taking out is back.
I checked all my SS rods and they all are magnetic from end to end
I Got as replacement looks 100% like the SS rods I have in other guns solid no flutes Is black was told Blued.
But the magnet just sticks to one side. The side with the spring loaded pin magnet sticks to. but only part way into the rod some. {ie} as far as the insert goes inside the rod is the only part that is magnetic
Is it steel and aluminum combo? Or steel and plastic combo? As the magnet does not stick to it so can't not be all Steel
I was told it was steel / steel
