Well folks,

Just looking for a little help here.

I'm a senior citizen and my wife and I were chatting a few days ago about what she should do with all of my firearms after I kick off...

Obviously she'll be selling most of them, and she asked me what a reasonable value would be for some and I know what I paid, but I have no idea of market prices now..

I'm talking reasonable prices, not bottom dollar, or an unreasonable high price..

The ones I own that I hoped someone here might be able to help us out on are all 3rd Gen Smiths

I bought them all new with the exception of the CS45 which only had a box or so fired thru it when I got it.

I have a 3913, 3913LS, 5906,6906,CS9,CS45.. All paperwork, original boxes, at least two factory mags for each (most have 4). None have had over 100rds run thru them, most less than that.

A friend was asking about my CS45, and I didn't want to sell it, so I checked on GA/GB/AA for him, and was a bit surprised to find the CS45 (and CS9) are getting kind of hard to find.

So, for these models which honestly are "like new", any ideas of what she should ask?

I'm going to write all this stuff down for her with each gun so she'll have a ball park figure of what she should ask for each one.

I realize prices and circumstances change, but just trying to get an idea of the values now.

Thanks!

Jesse

P.S. Here's a couple of photos of the LS.

I would price them as follows.

3913 - $550
3913LS - $600
5906 - $500
6906 - $475
CS9 - $550
CS45 - $600

I'm assuming the condition is as you stated, and all have original box and docs and all the goodies that came with them. Extra mag ect.

These prices I listed are based on what those models buy/sell for locally. I hope this helps. Regards 18DAI.

Thanks!

That's the type information I need... All of the pistols are absolutely pristine and the only ones I ever even use anymore are my CS45 for large caliber cc use, and my 5906 does duty in the closet in my bedroom as my "bump in the night" choice. (it has a set of CT lasergrips on it.)

All of the pistols are worth at least $450. If she posts them at auction, the market will determine how much more. Some desireable models should be closer to $600.

The important thing is that she doesn't turn them over to a dealer.

Since we are on the subject, how about the current value of a NIB (never fired) 469 w/ 3 mags?

Also, are there any significant differences between the 469/669 and the 6900 types?

Other than three and four digit model #'s. ;)

The 69xx series should have one piece grips, Novak sights and a right side safety that isn't held on using a phillips head screw. :)

Thanks Kurt, actually this one does not have an ambi (right sided) safety so no screw at all. But I know what you mean, that screw is fugly.

Brings up another question as to the safety, was it a later production for the dualsided lever, or just an option.

I'm not sure about the other gunsites, but if you join the gunbroker site you can go back to past auctions to see what certain models did actually bid. Unless you watch it for months on end there is always the super buy or super rip off showing up that throw the values off. That said, almost all 3rd generation guns complete with original boxes should bring $500+.

Just the thread I was looking for. How about a value for a 5943,good shape has some wear on the back. looks like its from a thumb break.Nice gun other than that. Has the silver trigger,2 mags, no box.

thanks

Sounds like a LE trade-in which can usually be found in the $275-375 range. Having the original box/paperwork will add $50-100 to almost any gun, extra mag $25. Frame wear on alloy frames is more noticeable and more expensive to fix, so that does knock things down more so than on steel framed guns.

Thanks for the info.
