Where can I find trigger reach data for S&W 3rd gen pistols? My wife has small hands and we are looking for a good 9mm that will fit her hands if possible. We live in a small and very rural town. There are very few local gun stores to try and test fit anything. Kahr CM 9 and PM 9 may work with a published trigger reach of 2.47 inches. Anything much longer is probably not gonna work well. I love the S&W CS9 or the 4913 especially the Lady Smith version but can't find trigger reach numbers for these. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

PS - I searched the forum but did not find anything.

Keep in mind the shape and size of the grip will also have an effect on the shooter's effective reach when it comes to the trigger. My daughter has very small hands and while she could reach the trigger on my 3913 in DA mode, it was a stretch. While slim in width, the grip on a 3rd Gen is still somewhat blocky.

I think the Shield is comparable in size to my 3913, with likely a similar trigger reach, but the slimmer and more sculpted grip made it easy for her to handle.

Trigger reach is determined by the size of the envelope needed to hold the magazine, any action parts (springs, struts, etc.), and the space these parts need to function. Therefore, any 3rd gen with the same magazine capacity and grip should have the same trigger reach.
On the CS9 with Big Dog grips, the trigger reach is 2 7/8”. This is the same distance as the 3913. The 6906 with it's double stack magazine has virtually the same horizontal, straight line distance, but has a greater girth. The CS9 originally came with Hogue grips and will have a greater reach, but I don't have one to measure.
(I tried to upload a photo, but about half the time that feature doesn't work. This is one of those times.)
