I have a 3rd model Smith and Wesson top break Revolver made about 1895 38 caliber in pretty good condition except the Cylinder
Stop is broken and no part seem to be available. I was wondering if anyone new of some way to make it work so it would be safe to shoot

I suspect maybe you have a double action third model 38 top break revolver but your dates seem to be way off. Those were made from about 1884 to about 1895. You can post pictures here but I suggest you start a new thread instead of tacking on to one from 15 years ago.

While there are no doubt several gunsmiths experienced AND qualified to work on antiques, I know of only one---Chris Hirsch by name-----and he works ONLY on antiques------and is a WIZARD!!!!

Google Chris Hirsch Gunsmith for his contact-----and know it's been eight years since he did work for me-----and he may or not still be active in gunsmithing rather than some of his other myriad activities.
