So when are you going to break in that bad-boy? Shoot it! There is a 4" 19-3 at work in the vault that gets shot a lot...it is in great shape and does what guns are made to do...go BANG!

A handsome classic. Don't mind the turn line, they're unavoidable and usually factory supplied during fitting and test firing.

Recent acquisition? Investment? Shooter? Enjoy... ;)

Probably every gun will have a turn line after being fired at the factory. Nothing you can do about it.
Not as noticeable on stainless.

This pistol was given to me be a friend who is a retired NASA engineer. Purchased from Montgomery Wards in 1977. box, screwdriver, swab, instructions and receipt for purchase are all there.

That is one heckuva collectible-level gift. Plenty of folk here'll tell you to shoot it, but I'd seriously consider continuing to preserve it.

It is a nice 19-3....but some day SOMEONE is going to pull the trigger...might as well be you.

Rusty, the Target Stocks have what's called the "football" cut out. On the left side the wood was relieved for a speed loader. The area is kinda shaped like a football. They only made them that way for a few years. Just a little bit of S&W grip trivia if you didn't know. Appropriate, what with football season almost upon us. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for that info..I am a football fan and Texas A&M grad. Hope to see "Johnny Football" prove the critics wrong (again).

When I saw your location was Texas I figured you were either an Aggie or a Horn. Texas is an incredible football state.

Some more trivia for ya. Notice your box, under Smith & Wesson, it says "Bangor Punta". They were a huge international conglomerate that owned S&W from approximately 1965 to 1987.
