Interesting write up. Here in NJ HP ammo is illegal to have loaded in the gun in the house. So I was happy to see how well those Federal EFMJ rounds did.

I've been interested in the performance of the EFMJ, but "If you're shooting a fat dude from the side, I doubt you'll be able to get very far past his armpit with these" seems to sum it up pretty well. For PDL's needs, however, they should be a viable option.

Thanks for the link, I always enjoy seeing my choice in ammo (SXT) excel in testing. I have some HST to try also.

I also appreciated and shared the link with a number of friends. Like I said, I'd rather go with the best. But sometimes the best is what you've got.
Don't get me wrong, right now, there're HPs in all the house guns. I figure if they're needed, that's what lawyers are for.
But if I can get something that works and keeps the weasels out of my life, I'll go with that.
