40 round pmags

I wish, but CA doesn't trust its citizens to have more than 10 round magazines. Don't worry, I don't trust them either.

I turn the 18rd Pmag extensions on my Gen2 30rd mags. So in the end I have 48rds total in the mag. The extension has never let me down and i've put many .223 and .300 AAC rounds through it. So i see no need for a 40rd mag when we can already have 48rds with a small extension.

They seem to be on back order everywhere. I did read a review and the results were good.

Midway has them in stock as of right now. Ordered my second one....they go quick.

Are they much longer than the 30rds??

Midway has a few in stock as of now - they are allowing one per customer at $18.95 plus a $3 "special handling fee" plus $5 postage totaling $27. I got one just for the fun of it. The best place to get them is Botactical.

You can back order as many as you want through Cabelas. It's a shame to support Midway who's clearly limiting people to one so they can milk the shipping and "special" handling fee.

If u already have several 30rd Pmags. The extra 10rds plus the extra $27 just isntnt worth the upgrade.

Now if u had a few 30rd mags and u could order as many 40rd mags as u wanted. Then "maybe" it would be worth the upgrade. ut until we see them get down to the $13-$15 range (shipped). Then i highly doubt u will see a huge demand for them.

Yes I would agree with you. I have 4 30 rounders, 1 20 round and 1 40 rounds. I am planning on getting to 4 of each including the 10 rounders.

That gives me capacity of 400 rounds fully loaded. :D

Just got my first 40 round mag from Midway. Cannot wait to test it.

I walked passed the mag isle this morning at the local Bass Pro. They had a few of these sitting on the shelf. I figured for $13, I may as well try it out. I'll just give it to my ole lady if i dont like anyways.

Nice! I was in my local one today and all they had were 20 and 30 rounders. I picked up a 20 rounder since I already have 10 of the 30's.
