Underwood has the hottest ammo out for 40sw that can match the advertized velocity . The 135gr load are 1400fps and 155gr are 1300fps PLUS . But for get what your looking for from a 40sw .

I handloaded the 40 S&W to a bit over 1300fps. using AA#5 and the Nosler 135gr JHP. I used new Starline brass and only fired the load in a S&W Model 610 with a 5" barrel. I was loading to make the old 175 power factor for USPSA. The load was a nasty hand full and I gave the idea up. I would never shoot that load in a semi-auto since brass blowout would probably occur.
