40 S&W pistol question

I am looking for a 4003 or 4003TSW pistol, but it dawned on me that there may be other S&W 3rd gen models available. I want an alloy frame, double stack 40 S&W, and it would help if it could use the same mags as my 4006.

What about the 410 or 411's, are they double or single stack ?

They are s̶i̶n̶g̶l̶e̶ double stack and use the same magazines as the Models 4003 and 4006.

I always considered my 4006 as a double stack, as it holds 11 rounds . Am I wrong ?

You could consider the 4013TSW, which is an alloy compact 40 caliber pistol that takes double-stack magazines. The mags that come with the pistol hold 9 rounds but it will accept the 11-round 4000-series double stack mags, too. They even make a mag extender to close the gap when using the 11-rounders.

If you're wanting to stay with a 4" TDA then those are your only choices. If you like a 4" DAO then you can add 4043 & 4043TSWs.

Otherwise there are 3.5" TDAs & DAO available with alloy frames.
