Along the lines of the previous post, can you install a Model 4006 .40 S&W slide and barrel assembly on a model 5906 9mm frame and have it function properly? I would imagine you need a .40 magazine as well. I emailed S&W with this question but they did not reply. I have a Model 5906 that is not very accurate and figured I might be able to turn it into a .40 S & W. Thanks for the help.

correct however the PC uses the same frame for the 9mm's as well as the 40's. So, not sure if you can convert one of the PC guns, but the frames have the same slot whether or not they are 40 or 9mm guns. Nice that they helped us with that!!
