LGS has a 4006TSW for $550. In OK shape; well cared for but with some surface wear & marks from carry - probably someone's duty piece. Everything seems to function well.

Is that a reasonable price for one of these?

Thanks,

Beuford

It's not bad but hard to say without pics. One Man's wear is another man's parts gun

Someone is selling four or five 4003TSW's on this forum right now for just under $400. I love my 4006 very much, super accurate, in fact I didn't like shooting 40 until I shot it out if my 4006. I then got a 4004 and 4003 TSW and they are fantastic shooters as well. In fact I favor them since they are less muzzle heavy.

Wear on the one at the LGS is SIMILAR to this one (from a posting elsewhere on this site):

beuford, that's a pic of my gun. Those are marks from a kydex holster not scratches. I always hate to tell someone what something is worth because every area is different . I have a rule of not spending more than 450 total on a used 9 or 40 3rd gen unless it's NIB and then it's just how bad do you what it. 45s have gotten crazy and 10mm ridiculous. If one of those 4003tsws in the for sale section are still available for under 400 that's were my money would be.

The stainless guns can be cleaned up with bead blasting. The alloy guns usually aren't worth refinishing but look how much fun you could have with a 5904 for under 375. The bad thing is I have seen allot of nasty 3913s and 4013s go for stupid money on the auction sights . If there buying them to carry, I'm sorry there are better tools out there for way less money
