I have a 4013 TSW thats a bitch to field strip. The pin sticks and is hard to push out. It has very little wear and is it possible that the gun just needs to be broken in. Any thoughts on take down of this pistol

Same thing happened to a 4013TSW I had. I used the plastic tip end of a Sharpie cap to push the pin through.

Very common complaint, nothing is wrong with your pistol. I use the end of a plastic toothbrush to get it to start moving and I have not noticed it getting any easier with time.

As the others have said, it's pretty common. If I can't push the slide retaining pin out with my finger, I use something to help.

The other thing I do, is put some lube on the pin when I reassemble it. I use Lubriplate 105, but any lube you like will work. I rub a very light coating onto the pin. Very light is the key.

I don't know if it helps, but it doesn't hurt.

As you can see, any small object on hand that is not too soft, not too hard (i.e., plastic or wood), will work. We are human beings, after all, and as such are one of the few species capable of using and making tools from common objects!
