Bodyguard 2.0 magazines

Hi. I'm a 68 year old guy who is new to shooting this year. I got a Bodyguard 2.0 today. I'm finding it near impossible to load the magazines. I got 6 rounds in the 10 round mag and only 4 in the 12 round mag. I'm not the strongest guy in the world but I'm not feeble either. I can't believe these mags are supposed to be this difficult to load.
Could I be doing something wrong. Could the mags be defective. Could I just cut an inch or so off the springs
All kidding aside, I've seen people online talking about not being able to get the last one or two rounds in but this seems excessive.

Bite the bullet (Figuratively) and get a
Magula UPlula. It was a gamechager for my
daughters and grandsons.

Even with the UPlula I cannot, since August of 2024, get 12 rounds in the 12-round mag or 10 rounds in the 10-round mag.

Leaving the mags loaded still has not changed the issue.

I load 1 round short.

I also have posted on MagGuts asking when they will release +2 kit for these magazines.

The amount of force it takes to pop in a mag, with one round short, with a close slide is excessive.

Is anyone clipping some off the spring to help this?

One of guys has posted describing "nesting" the spring. I tried for about 30 minutes but I had no success.
I've contemplated "gunsmithing" the spring, but I haven't done one yet.
It would interesting to learn if someone has cut some spring off and what the results was.
