4053 size question

Is the 4053 DOA about the same size and weight as its 9mm brother? Was wondering if this is true , where as some one told me that the 40xx pistols were built on the 6900 frames. Is this true?

There are different variations of the 4053.

thanks BB. So hard to figure these foolish S&W numbers for us new guys.Have seen "cheat sheets"
but I think even those are messed up at times.
