40c Firing Issue

I've experienced one early slide lock-back but I'm almost positive that was my thumb. I won't be clipping or turning springs anytime soon (probably not at all). More shooting is required for "break-in" and through that I'll definitely be trying different ammo as talked about on this thread. Seems the 165gr is the best. I also have some slide wear from the slide-lock rubbing on the left under-side and there is visible wear on the internal, top of the slide lock itself. Not sure if that is normal but I rubbed a bit of Ballistol on there so we'll see.

If you mean the top/rear surface & edge of the tab that actually engages upward within the slide's "stop notch", when the slide is locked open, that's a normal wear spot (on the M&P's, P99/SW99's & Glocks, at least). The top/rear of that small tab is constantly bouncing up against the bottom of the slide during recoil & cycling, rubbing against the harder steel of the slide, and some amount of wear is expected and normal.
