41 scope base?

I 'm a Newbie to the 41 world, so pardon me if this has been beaten to death. What's the best scope base for a 5.5 in. bbl, factory drilled/tapped? I am familiar with the Weigand and the Weaver 60, and wonder if there are others I should consider. I have a Millet Multidot on order and also a Walther TS 25 to try.

I am reading thru the forum archives--great stuff. I am learning a lot!

I only know of three. The two you mentioned:
Weigand
Weaver #62
and the
LSP Picatinny style rail:
S&W M-41 SCOPE MOUNT - Brownells

I can only comment on the Weaver 62. It's the cheapest but more importantly to me, it is the lightest of the three.

I used a Weaver #62 on mine.

Very inexpensive so I won't feel bad if I change my mind later. Fits well and is long enough it give you several mounting options.

Weaver 62 for less than $5 via Amazon; I have one on the way so I can't comment on the quality and fit as of yet but...

Bullseye Gear said they'll have them back in stock in the next few days; they charge $8 or so for theirs.
