Picked one up a couple of months ago. Definitely a nice heavy duty case, but almost overkill. I think you could run over it with a pickup and not do any damage. Good deal, though.

Most of the time I get along with a Doscocil over/under shotgun case, which holds an AR very nicely and is sufficient for moderate conditions.

The prices vary WILDLY on these cases.........I've seen them for as little as $45 to as much as $135. Great case, though.......

I personally find a 42" case way too long for an AR-pattern rifle, but that's just my opinion.

The 36" works great for my AR, the 42" is good for my Remington 870 tactical & my Mini 30................

It is the shipping that kills some of these case deals IMHO, some shipping is as much as the case, I like to scoop these when vendors have them either real cheap (<$10) or w/free shipping. But I have a few of these and they are real nice.
