439 Questions?

I'd like to try something thinner than my Glock 19 for IWB carry, thinking of a 439 (I like firing pin safeties).

Did S&W ever make the 439 with the rounded trigger guard and fixed sights? That would be the perfect combination for me, just like a 39-2 and with the FP safety.

But I've been searching the internet and gun shops, have never been able to find that combination of rounded guard with fixed sights.
Do any of them exist?

Yes they made some with round trigger guards and drift adjustable rear sites but they dont pop up as often on the 439 as they do on the SS version 639 IMO.

The 639 is another option but its a bit heavier with a SS frame instead of the 439's aluminum frame.

as a CCW gun have you considered a Model 469/669, 3913 or a CS9 ?

I have considered those others, and also the 6906. But to my eye, and the few times I've handled one, the 39/439 seems just right- not too big, not too small. I also prefer the DA/SA trigger system over most DAO.

For me with IWB, slide length is not a problem and longer may actually be better- helps stabilize the gun/holster and prevents it from flipping up and over the belt if things get physical.
