I got this on email and was stunned at the photos. They are blaming it on Chinese ammo. I have no idea what brand it was or the actual series of events, but WOW, this is scary stuff! My apologies if this has already been posted.......

S & W .44 Magnum accident

A guy came into the police department the other day to ask a favor.
He had a S&W 629 (.44 Mag) that he wanted to dispose of after a mishap at the range.
He said there was a loud bang when he tested his new ammo, (Chinese made), and the gun smacked him in the forehead, leaving a nice gash.
When the tweety birds cleared from around his head, the pictures show what he saw.
Bet he never uses Chinese made ammo again!
Looks like when the round in the chamber went off, it also set off at least two other rounds in adjacent cylinders.
I would have hated to been the one that pulled the trigger on that one!

musta been the int lock that did it........sorry I couldn't help myself

I have never seen Chinese ammo for the .44Mag. and do not find it listed on any site. This photo is at least two years old and the consensus is that they ammo was home-loads.

This is becoming common. I have seen about 5 guns almost identical to this. Sometimes it is tite group, sometimes collected left over and knocked out case powder. Now Chinese are at it. Commie devils. Always a stainless .44 . I will send this pic around as a public service . I am willing to throw away your 629s for you at no charge. PM before it is too late. Do it for your children.
