A dear friend of mine asked me this evening about a revolver he thought might be a Smith & Wesson Model 3 chambered for the .44 Russian, however it had many markings in Russian.......

Is that possible? Or is this not a Smith?

Sorry, no photos yet.........

Hi, Randy.

Cannot do much with out pix. Need a few, clearly focused, digital images of the gun uploaded here.

A few overall pix, including one of each side and photos of the cylinder with barrel open. Close up pix of all the Russian markings and one full photo of the stamp on the top strap of the barrel.

Purely a guess at this point but it sounds like a Tula Russian. Pictures would be a great help.

Will get pics as soon as I can....

Thanks to all!
