I'm looking for a source for 44 special or magnum brass the only source in my area for just about any reloading components is Bass pro and it's not that great lol. Found a local guy selling range brass he had 2 asked if I wanted them I declined I've been finding Starline but it's not cheap any help would be greatly appreciated I'm in the Savannah ga area.

You can google once fired brass and look around. I did when I started loading 44 mag and realized most wanted damn near what new brass sells for. I gave up and just ordered 500 cases from star line for something like $105. In the end I got a lot of nice brass I'll load many times and probably come out ahead had I bought once fired.

Thanks and I've found starline on amazon when I see it in stock I buy , I'm trying to stay with starline and bass pro carries it I get it when they have it.

Midway currently has 44 special Starline brass available in both varieties.
They also have Starline 44 magnum in the brass un-plated variety.
I am ordering some nickel special brass. Thanks for making me look :)
These are only available occasionally.

I have had good luck with buying brass from Amazon both Star-Line and once fired. Don

Any gun shows in your area? There are almost always several gun show vendors selling fired and new brass. I don't worry much about what I use - new or used, and mixed headstamps, they're all the same to me. I load a lot more in .44 Special cases than in .44 Mag. I don't load very heavily anyway. To me, it seems pointless to put up with all that muzzle blast, noise, and recoil just to shoot holes in paper.

Nickel I just ordered some I bet these Eggleston munitions polymer coated in metallic green will get them talking at the range lol.

You DO wear a matching shirt as suggested by their website right?

Personally I think the black ones are going to look cool with nickel but that may be the biker in me.

I just bought 500 44 mag cases direct from Starline this morning. It was $103 for 500, which is probably a lifetime supply. That's just over .20 each. Yes, Midway has it, but over twice as costly

"Midway has it, but over twice as costly"

Not quite sure how you calculated that as Midway's price for 500 is currently $108 (plus $13 shipping).

Oops. Looks like I was comparing apples to oranges in quantities. :o Don't ask me to do math in the evenings, or in the mornings, for that matter. For what it's worth, Starline does offer "free" shipping.

In my experience Starline brass is half as expensive as buying "name brand" brass in a gun shop. Only problem is ya gotta buy 500 at a clip, not a problem for me but if you don't need that many sell the excess! Also if your choice of brass is on backorder with a due by date don't be afraid to order it, Starline is very good with that sort of backorder and usually delivers a week or so early.
