I've got a S&W 625 5" Bbl. I was surfing around and
compiled this list of .45 Auto RIm some Mile, and some Hot loads

* i've got about 50 rds of the R.A.R. 225 gr. Barnes XPB
if I ever get together with my firend I sold a chrono to,
I'll see about velocity - but it is the hardest recoil load

SAAMI rates .45 Auto Rim with .45 Colt and .44 Special, and other
brass cf cartridges that were begun with BP. There is no standard for +P
but it's most likely about the same as .45 +P @ 21K-23K CUP

and Handlaoders may be aware .45 Auto RIm new brass
is available from Starline in the same price range as .45 ACP
or .45 Colt - however sometimes Starline will wait til they
get enough on backorder before they make a run of it

georgia-arms.com has several 45 AR loads. I've not tried them yet but I'm planning on placing an order.

Forgot to mention i had a custom order from Reeds Ammo & Research
a couple of years ago. Min. order for a C.O. is 250 rds. I spec'd
Leadhead 200 gr. SWC hard cast @ 1,000 FPS. Accurate load. I think it was around 45 cents each - shpping cost raised it but was t of
an order for the same load of 350 rounds in .45 ACP. I had found
350 new Remington cases I had bought back in the early '80s

I also have a S&W 1911 SS 5"

I bought 1,000 Starline .45 AR cases when Starline started offereing it again. So, I'm accumulating large pistol primers.
