.45 auto rim

FWIW, my M1917 shot low at 25 yards, even with 230 grain cast bullets. I ended up using a Lyman 454254 to raise the POI. On the other hand, if you don't want to do that, the alternative is a Wondersight if you want to add on an adjustable sight without making permanent modifications to your gun.

I shortened the Lee 45LC seater die by 0.3".

It works well for the cast 300 gr bullet at 1.555"
It does not work well for the 230 gr FMJ at 1.4"

The roll crimp die does not work on FMJ where there is no cannelure.

I am going to have to get a 458 Win Mag factory crimp die, make a spacer bushing, and put the 45 auto rim cartridge in it upside down. I have done this for 32 S&W long with a 308 die.
