.45 ACP or even one of the ancient short .45 rounds like .455 Colt. Either with external hammer or Centennial style. Here's an example from way back: a Webley and Scott "British Bulldog" in .450.

Ammo's tough to find (Fiocchi does a run every once in a while), but I've shot this one. Recoil is more managable than the .357 by a lot. But it's not much fatter or generally harder to carry. (theoretically!)

Or maybe .44 Russian? Something low pressured, but with a largish diameter.

Just wishing!

I keep calling for a L framed sized 5 shooter in 45acp with some alloy to keep the weight down a bit. I hear Taurus made some, but impossible to find.
Smith made a few L frame 44 spec (model 696).

I like my Charter Arms and my Taurus 44 spec 5 shooters, but really would love a S&W 5 45ACP

I agree, in 45 ACP or 44 Special it would sell very good.

Until then my 325 Night Guard in 45 ACP is a great "pocket revolver".

You just need a pretty big pocket...
