.45 Colt Mountain Gun

I would guess 45 oz +/- 5 oz, depending on grips and barrel length IIRC model correctly. I would look it up in the BOOK if it was close, but it's in living room and I am in bedroom.

I hate to admit it since I'm not a fan of stainless, but for a # of years I've owned a Mod. 26-6 Mountain Gun (NOT a 626) of which I'm inordinately fond. I can't find any reference to when this model was made, how many were made, or when they were discontinued.
Can anyone smarten me up?

My 25-13 with factory Ahrends weighed 2.44 lbs (39.04 oz).
Some other Mtn gun weights.

625-6 = 2.43
629-3 = 2.45
57-5 = 2.51
657-4 = 2.55

Pete

You model was made only in 1988 and that was only a partial year. This model change was for a new yoke system, radius stud, unfluted cylinder, glass bead finish and was it 45 ACP caliber.

The 25 became the 25 in 1957, after it had been it reintroduced as the 1955 Model .45 Target Heavy Barrel.
