Ok, sorry for the drift.... how common are cut down 1917's now a days? I remember seeing them in the past, and I had no interest, but a period 45 ACP cut down kind of calls to me now....

I enjoy this thread w/ pics as I really like big-bore snubbies of any caliber.
The .45 though just seems like a logical choice for a hard-hitting, low pressure round, suitable for short barrels.

I like them too.Have a 3" 625-6 in 45 acp and a 325 sc the same as cw3pa posted a picture of,which acording to the SCSW there were 300 made in 2004.Enjoy shooting the 625-6 not so much the 325 sc.
 
Great adders! I am working silver solder project on snubby 1917. Will advise progress.
 
Feel free to add cut down 17s and converted hand ejectors and new services.
