I have posted this one before, this is my ex-Fresno Sheriff Dept., CA Model 4506. I also have a 645, and a 4506-1 that I will try to get pics of later.

dennis40x... WOW, that IS one beautiful lookin pistola!!!...
Just curious, how's the recoil on that baby?

Here's a couple shots of my tank, I mean, 4566...
Had replaced the rear sights with the wider 2 dots and a green fiber optic on the front.

No problem. The 4506 is slightly larger than the 1911 Government Model. The 45ACP is moderate in recoil so therefore not problematic.

There are a host of Absolutely Beautiful S&W Autos, Seriously, but I think these Monsters (the 4566's) take the prize! My Favorites are the early 3rd gen .45's with the Hooks and Novaks.....Forgive the Mini but here is my Former 4566...one of three......You're probably tired of seeing these, but it's the only pic of my 4566 I have...Keep them coming guys...I know there are a lot of them out there.....Zebulon

Not the best but here is a pic of my former North Dakota Highway Patrol 4506-1 complete with former NDHP duty rig.

Yes they are. Over the past few years I have gotten rather spoiled with the same trigger pull every time on the plastic fantastic though. I would like to see what some of those DAO Smiths are like.

Bullman...I can think of about 20 pistols I've owned that have better triggers than the S&W's....I think the triggers are the reason even the 3rd generation Pistols have been frowned upon. I really never had one with a "fine" trigger. In my mind, there are pistols for different circumstances....I have Berettas for SD use, I think K Framed Snubs are fabulous for just being Cool, and the 4500 Series of S&W for having an elegant piece of Stainless Steel in my hand. It doesn't need to do everything for me...it just has to do what it does....for me. It's impossible to take the "personal" out of firearms....One size doesn't fit all.......Zebulon
