I think I have narrowed my choice down to the 4566 preferrably the TSW version. The 4516 wouldn't be a bad choice either, but I would only intend to use the gun for target, so I'd prefer the full size like my 5906, and not as concerned with concealed carry. Maybe in the future I'll add a 6906 or 3913 to the collection for carry.

I have a 4516 that I carry alot and a 645 and 4506. Can't go wrong with either of these choices.

I really like all the S&W stainless guns. The shorter barrel of the 4566 I think I would prefer over the longer 4506 or it's predecessor the 645. The only thing that would be nice on the 4506 is having another '06 to go with my 5906 and the 2206 that I purchased to have around when my son get's old enough to shoot. Problem will probably be finding one in decent condition in a reasonable price range. Recently found a 4516 that was nearly new in box, but $600.

take a look at the 457..It is the no frills version of the 4516. I have mine accurized by Novak. it is my primary carry. Good price, too.
