Great Medio....Thanks very much....My 4566's have all been early pistols like yours....It looks like a nice week-end to take more pics...

. Yes, I'm greedy....Zebulon

Great pic thread. Love the 4506. I bought one NIB early this year. Debating whether to shoot it or keep it in the safe.

Also My first post here, and if I may, can I post the 4506's predecessor? Just got it, NBF, BUT been moved around for the past 20-23 years, a few scratches, but It was a gift, so I think I will pay the $140+s&h and send it to S&W for refinishing. I have been dying to ask, what kind of slide or barrel "upgrades" can they do? Have some walnut S&W 645 grips on order:

Beautiful guns Guys...Thanks for taking the time to post them....I love these Smiths in particular, but can't imaging carrying one all day! That's a big chunk of Stainless Steel there.....Let's see some more! Welcome to the Forum D.W.....I'm a newbie in a sense myself...Good guys here and much to learn......Zebulon

not much sense in starting a new thread and losing the audience....How do you guys deal with those fine scuffs and handling marks on the beaded parts of these guns? Any tips?.....Zeb

Great looking photo's which make me really miss my 4506 now. However, I have 1 question; does anyone rally carry theirs as a daily CCW? I sold mine because it was just too large to carry concealed and the reason why I retained my 4553. Just curious.

Yep, it (4506) is too big and heavy for any kind of regular CCW, IMO. I just appreciate the shooting qualities and fine workmanship on my Smith 3rd Gen pistols. Of course, I am a guy that often carries a Kel-Tec P32 as a CCW, so take it for what it is worth.

I did over an extended period of time before switching over to a Glock G19. Too much is made of the weight as an issue. It is what it is. The 4506 is the most reliable handgun I've owned over a period of forty years using various makes, types, and models. Equal in reliability are two Glocks a G21 and G19.
