Am I allowed to ask the year of manufacture on my new in box 4506 no dash.
Has adjustable sights, one black follower factory magazine, and two orange follower, a curved AND flat factory plastic stocks. I remember acquiring them shortly after or during the first few months of acquisition. Don't recall if it came with flat or curve backs strap initially. Has squared trigger guard.
Serial #TDJ11## and Mod 4506 with no dash, stamped below. All descriptions are stamped. It was purchased from a dealer NIB, don't recall from where or when.
Bought it, 1988/89, a guess, as an alternative to my 1911 format pistols. After shooting it a few times shortly after, with all three mags, I found that it was noticeably softer shooting than my Colt's, but not particularly superior in any other way. Single action trigger is light and clean, with decent reset. Can't beat the feel, balance or trigger of a Government Colt in my hand…..still today. So I immediately retired it. .
A safe Queen since shortly after, at least 30 years anyway.
Tried a few websites for the info, but just guesses.
Thanks for any feedback
