I seen a 4506 that caught my eye. Police trade in. Holster wear, etc.The price is at $350.00, no box and one single magazine. Question:

1) Good price?
2) What to look in a used 4506. Lock up, trigger pull, etc.
3) The night sight need replaced. Does S&W carry this?

Unless it is really thrashed, that would seem to be a very good price. Most police trade ins have been carried a lot, shot a little. Field strip it and carefully inspect the internals. Check the barrel out to see if there is excessive wear. Make sure to ask if you can dry fire it--especially in SA mode. The trigger play spring often gets weak on these and there may be a hitch in SA mode. If there is, try and use this as leverage to lower the price even further:D This is typically not that big a deal and the trigger play spring can often be remedied by using the eraser tip of a pencil. These are sweet shooting
.45's that are rock solid reliable--typical 3rd gen quality. I'd snag it up at that price if its not too beat.

Sounds like a pretty good price if it is in decent shape. You may have to send the slide back to the NS mfg in order to have the lamps in the sights replaced.

That's a good price in my neck of the woods. I saw a 4566 this weekend. No box, wearing Hogues w/o originals, one mag and filthy to top it off. Guy wanted $550. Would come down to $525. I passed.....

You cant go wrong at that price. I recently paid $400 for a police trade in 4506-1 w/ 2 factory mags and I thought that was an awesome price.
