Has any one else had a problem with the 4516 barrel bushing working its way out a little after extensive firing? It is not really noticeable with only a few mags through it but if I put about 200 rounds through it the bushing works out about 1/32" or so. I have just been rapping it back with a wooden dowel when I clean up. 'Don't think it will be a function problem since I don't have but two spares with me at any one time when I'm just packing it. This has been going on for years now since about '94 I guess.
Other than that, I love that little pistol.

I've never had it happen. You may want to contact S&W. It may be covered under warranty.

IIRC the bushing is a factory fitted part. Hope this helps! Regards 18DAI.

Well, I've never seen it happen. I think I'd pull the slide and exaime it under a strong light to see if it had a crack or two.

Then I'd call Smith and get 'em to fix it.

I have a 4006 and mine has never moved on me that I'm aware of. That doesn't sound like a good thing. I'd definitely contact S&W about it.
