picked up a mk11 hand ejector .455 webley today. really nice & unmolested. can you shoot .45 auto rim in these revlovers? thanks.
Webley is designed for 14,000 psi .455 cal rounds. 45ACP/AR .452 cal equal proof loads for the Webleys at 19,000 + psi.
I've seen Webley cylinders blown in half by 45ACP rounds.
Since it is really nice and unmolested, it would be very wise to keep it that way. So do not convert it to fire something more easily available.picked up a mk11 hand ejector .455 webley today. really nice & unmolested. can you shoot .45 auto rim in these revlovers? thanks.
Smith & Wesson cylinders? I was aware of Webleys doing this, but I've never seen a picture of a S&W with this issue. I had a triple lock that was modified for .45ACP/AR with the plate shaved and it seemed to be just fine.
it won't accept .ar or .colt.45 & the #'s are on the back of the cylinder. I guess I wil find some .455 eley ammo just because I like to have ammo for all my odd calibers also. thanks, john.
