In going through the archived posts, I think I've read from you knowledgeable folks that the rear sight dovetail cut on the 457 slide is the same as the rear sight cut on the 4516 slide. I measured, as best I could, the sight cuts on my 457 and 4516-2 and they seemed to be the same.
I ask because one of my friends has a 457 he carried as a duty gun for years. The right side of the rear sight is a bit chewed up and he would like to replace that sight with a metal sight; a sight used on the 4516 or similar model.
Have I missed the specific post or thread that addresses the interchangebility, if any, of 457 and 4516 rear sights?
