45c or FS 9?

I'm looking to add to my collection. I've got the FS 40 and Shield in 9mm. I've got the chance to get a new full size 9 with the newer trigger or a 45c that's had the APEX block installed.

Opinions?

I have a 9 full size and 45c, both with Apex FSS triggers and love both. The 9 gets a lot more range time mainly because of ammo price compared to 45acp. The 45c actually feels a bit better in my hand. It's all personal.

I have the 45c bone stock the more I shoot it the better the trigger gets so no changes needed. I like too put some rounds though all of my firearms before changing anything, just my 2 cents.

Your only gaining a couple rounds with the FS9 over the 40 that you already have. I'd buy the 45c. Infact , I bought one last week.
The only possible downside is needing to stock another caliber.

In the last 3 years ive run through 5 M&P pistols, three 9's and two 45's.

All three 9's got sent down the road for sub par accuracy to include a 2015 manufactured Pro Series 5".

Both 45's shot well and accurately, only one i still have is the 45c.

All were reliable and functioned fine, but 3" groups at 10 yds benched is not good enough for me

If you decide on the 45c, check out the FDE version. I think it looks awesome, especially with Talons on it. Smith also sent me FDE plugs (free!) as I removed the safety.....

I think I'd go for the 45c unless there's something you don't like about your full size 40 and are hoping to be happier with on a 9mm pistol. The 45c is at least enough different that you won't have to check the fine print to see which you have. And I've read a lot of posts about how much people love their 45c's on this forum. Been sort of eyeing them myself.

But... get ready for it; it's really a personal choice.

I have the full size 9 in the L/E package with fact night sights 3 mags , I like it better than the MP 45 I have also. Both shoot good

I have the 9FS, the 45FS and the Shield 9. I did have the 45C. All have/had the APex except the 9FS. Came with a good trigger. Sold the 45C. Somehow just did not like it for some reason. Shot great, but just dont know.
