For those shooting X-frame revolvers find a scope or Red Dot that actually will hold up is a challenge.
To date I have not had any of the cheap red dot last more than a cylinder worth of shoots.
To be fair to the Delta Point I tried- the dot did not fail- I was unable to get it adjusted to point of aim and after several sessions and couple hundred rounds we just gave up.
I decided to try Aimpoint H1 for a variety of reasons.
I dropped it on the top rail of a 7.5" and started shoot.
I immediately liked the click adjustments compared to the DeltaPoint. 14 rounds later it was close and I re-tightened it to the rail every 10 rounds just to make sure it was not coming loose.
Put 100 rounds through and that was enough for me at the indoor range.
The next day another 150 rounds shoot without any adjustment.
An additional 100 rounds of load development were shoot the
with no issue.
A final 20 shoots were taken with the final load through a cleaned revolver and minor tweak made before taken of to Alaska.
Shoot a cylinder worth of rounds in Alaska to validate the gun and then it was of to chase a big bear.
And an addition cylinder with a bear.
The sight to date has performed flawlessly.
It like a quality red dot than withstand the recoil of the X-frames.
(I will add a picture when I return from Alaska)
Good luck and be safe
